1. GACC suspended the acceptance of import declaration for beef products exported to China from a Brazilian plant (SIF411) since Aug 9 (shipping data).
2. GACC suspended the acceptance of import declaration for pork products exported to China from an Irish plant (EC380) since Aug 9 (shipping data).
3. GACC suspended the acceptance of import declaration for pork products exported to China from a Mexican plant (TIF66) since Aug 9 (shipping data).
4. GACC suspended the acceptance of import declaration for poultry products exported to China from a Thai plant (EST79) since Aug 9 (shipping data).

The above suspension of some plants (like EC380) are based on the result of videoaudits. As we can see, Chinese Customs has stepped up video inspections since the beginning of 2022, 208 video conferences with the official competent authorities of relevant countries or regions have been done in H1.

Looking back, at a meeting in early July, GACC announced that it will no longer suspend the plant's import declaration even when products were tested nucleic acid positive. However, it also emphasized that the Customs will strengthen video audits to spot-check the food safety of overseas plants. So, for the foreign suppliers, more details should be cared and even minor problems such as aging equipment and facilities cannot be ignored.
